The Yearly Apple Shareholder Meeting Just Happened!

Yep. Yesterday was the day for the yearly Apple shareholder meeting for 2024! Here's what it brought! First (going chronologically), Apple was proposed (by some unionized employees calling themselves Equity Index Funds) a report on AI ethics coming up to key AI announcements later this year, which was voted down by other shareholders, along with a report on "equal employment policies, civil liberties, racial and gender pay gaps, and human rights". Tim Cook did have things to say to keep the minds of shareholders at ease about AI, by saying that Apple in AI will "break new ground" later this year (all rumors point to a WWDC introduction of new AI abilities coming with iOS 18 and the others), and that it'll "unlock transformative opportunities for our users" and "make them more productive". Apple is apparently "investing significantly" in AI as well.
