Apple acknowledges that the iPhone might never be matched

It has already been written several times by several sources that Apple's VR, AR, and MR devices might never match the iPhone, but now (actually, a week ago, at the earnings call, but still) Apple has publicly acknowledged that. It means that even Apple is unsure about these devices (while a Vision Pro 2 might be coming as soon as next year with an M5 chip, a cheaper (but still $2,000!) Vision Pro headset which will appeal to more than fat-wallet early adopters has now been delayed into oblivion, and smart glasses, while project involvement has been shown with a study of existing glasses, will have to be iPhone-tethered).
