Pardon my enthusiasm; iOS 18.1.1 (and its siblings iPadOS 18.1.1, macOS Sequoia 15.1.1, watchOS 11.1.1, and visionOS 2.1.1) is just a few security fixes. But one of them (an Intel Mac bug; yet another reason to upgrade to M-series chips!) has been actively exploited, and even outside of the topic of Macs, the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency has just urged people to download the new update. For iOS users, the security bugs fixed are in WebKit (the brains of Safari) and Javascript Core. Also, even though the tin says "SECURITY UPDATES ONLY", several people mentioned a fix for a bug in Messages stickers. Those who didn't update to iOS 18 yet (or can't with their current device) can download iOS 17.7.2 as well (don't worry; you're not missing out on any security fixes, just the extra features of iOS 18.1).
